Uranium Water Treatment Facility – Coleville, California

R.O. Anderson was retained to assist with the design and permitting of a uranium treatment facility for the existing water system at the elementary school in Coleville California.  The treatment headworks are proposed to be housed in a 2,400 SF metal building.  In addition to the design of the uranium treatment R.O. Anderson also perform the site, grading and utility design as well as a flood protection berm to protect the proposed maintenance building from potential offsite drainage flows.

The project was made more challenging in the fact that the approval of the project through the California Division of the State Architect was required due to the project being located on the Eastern Unified School District’s property.  The design of the project has been completed and the District is currently pursuing grants to fund the construction.
